Project Lifesaver

Project Lifesaver International (PLI) helps provide rapid response to save lives and reduce potential for serious injury for adults and children who wander due to Alzheimer’s, Autism, Down Syndrome, dementia and other related disorders.   PLI, teaming with LoJack SafetyNet, provides equipment, training, certification and support to law enforcement, public safety organizations and community groups which operate the Project Lifesaver program in their communities and has over 1,000 participating agencies that have performed over 1,900 searches in the last 10 years with a 100% success rate.  Click here to go to Project Lifesaver website.

The program is run in cooperation with the Addison, Carrollton and Farmers Branch Police Departments.  Personalized radio transmitters are placed on selected individuals and if they become lost, sophisticated tracking equipment is then used to locate them quickly to prevent serious injury or death.
