We live in an age of technology where information is abundant, but sometimes this abundance can make searching for answers more confusing. There are many agencies, federal, state and local benefit programs and individual services that will provide aid to seniors and caregivers in solving everyday problems or crisis issues.

Finding the right resource for your needs is often like finding a needle in a haystack. As part of our service to our senior community, Senior Adult Services has developed an extensive library of resource and referral materials that specifically deal with the needs of seniors and caregivers.

To further aid in accessing this material, SAS has trained a special group of staff and volunteer information specialists. These specialists will help the caller to clearly define the issue.

Sometimes an information specialist will recognize the caller's need for more extensive aid. If the caller is willing, the information specialist will take down some preliminary information and refer them to a Senior Adult Services case manager. This is especially true for seniors who would like to sign up for SAS programs such as transportation, home delivered meals, or home repair service.
