Do Volunteers Make a Difference?
Last year volunteers donated 15,699 hours of service to SAS. They delivered over 10,741 home delivered meals and made over 560 repairs to 205 seniors’ homes. In addition they provided office support, transportation, friendly visits, case management assistance, and information and referral services and served on boards and committees.
Senior Adult Services offers opportunities for student groups, businesses, families and individuals. Whether you are interested volunteering only seasonally, occasionally or on a regular basis, we have a place for you! Many of our volunteer opportunities require no commitment, and only an hour or two of your time while others allow you to utilize your skills or establish relationships with clients. To learn more: attend a volunteer orientation on the first Tuesday or fourth Thursday at 4 p.m. or contact Gayle Collins by email: gayle.collins@senioradultservices.org You may also download and complete the volunteer application.
