People recovering from an illness or surgery or visiting family members often need to use various pieces of durable medical equipment. They can be expensive to purchase, but SAS loans items such as wheelchairs, walkers, canes, bedside commodes, and shower/transfer benches for short-term use at no charge. Signatures from the user and the borrower are needed in order to loan out the equipment.
We also accept donations of gently used durable medical equipment. If you or someone you know has a piece of equipment that is no longer being used we would be happy to receive it and put it back in use. Donations of incontinence supplies and nutritional supplement drinks are also welcomed.
If you or someone you know is in need of medical equipment or would like to donate medical equipment to Senior Adult Services, please call 972-242-4464 or click here for contact information.
